That is a very bad idea. Please use Linux to boot from USB. Or you can make a PE version of a window and use it.
I never used Windows from USB but used Linux a couple of times.

I know this is not a good idea but I just want to use a software that knows my current hard drive serial. I just want to know if this is possible and how?

Yes, you can do so. However, please be advised that this is not a good practice just like what @debjit said.

First, it will be significantly slow. Second, it could shorten your flash drive life span, especially with if you set up persistent storage since all flash drive have their write limit, and an operating system will do a lot of writing to your flash drive.

In terms of how to do it, here you go.

User Hiren boot cd. Boot from recovery password and note down your serial number or just retrieve any lost info or keys. It's open-source and has a lot of free software. I use this os on a daily basis.

What I have heard is that Windows 11 was able to download, try an upgrade to a clean Windows 11. It support all older devices only no updates for it.

I think I will pass on w10 for at least 3 yrs. My dev env is very robust with w10 and don't need any surprise from w11.

rufus is all time best to make a auto run iso image USB for any kind of OS, i use it for windows for Linux ubuntu, debian etc.. just go to

Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

https://rufus.ie

and follow the instructions.
Literally, the best solution to create a bootable USB to install Windows whenever you lost or got damaged your DVD, LOL...
I always get confuse with MBR and GPT.. as some motherboard BIOS does not support GPT, I think they are older that's why..
btw, I always choose MBR to install Windows 10 or 7 .. which is quite easy for me.
